Rights Respecting School<\/strong> at <strong>Bronze: Rights Committed<\/strong> level.<\/p>\n      <p>This means we have started our journey to place <strong>children\u2019s rights<\/strong> at the heart of our School, using the <strong>United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)<\/strong> to guide the way we learn, work and play together.<\/p>\n      <span These rights come from the <strong>UN Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/strong>, which sets out what children need to grow, learn and be safe.<\/p>\n      <ul class=\"rrs-star-list\">\n        <li>Children learn about their rights and the rights of others.<\/li>\n        <li>Adults and pupils use the language of rights when they talk and make decisions.<\/li>\n        <li>Everyone works together to make sure school is safe, fair and welcoming.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <p>There are three stages to the award: <strong>Bronze<\/strong> (planning), <strong>Silver<\/strong> (rights in action) and <strong>Gold<\/strong> (rights at the heart of school life). We are now at the Bronze stage and are already planning our journey to Silver.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/details>\n\n  <!-- 2. We are already recognised as a <strong>School of Sanctuary<\/strong>, and we continue to learn how to support children and families who may be seeking safety.<\/p>\n      <p>In our School:<\/p>\n      <ul>\n        <li>Many pupils are eligible for free school meals and we work hard to support families.<\/li>\n        <li>Pupils speak <strong>many different languages<\/strong>, and we celebrate this richness.<\/li>\n        <li>We value every child\u2019s language, culture and story.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <p>Becoming a Rights Respecting School helps us to make sure that <strong>every child knows they belong<\/strong>, whoever they are and wherever they come from.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/details>\n\n  <!-- 3. To achieve it, we had to show that we are committed to becoming a Rights Respecting School and that we have a clear plan to reach Silver.<\/p>\n      <p>Some of the key things we have done include:<\/p>\n      <ul>\n        <li><strong>Informing our whole community<\/strong> that we are on the Rights Respecting journey, through assemblies, newsletters, staff meetings and governor discussions.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Learning about the UNCRC<\/strong> as staff, using training materials to build our understanding of children\u2019s rights.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Creating a pupil-led Rights Steering Group<\/strong> that meets to share ideas, plan actions and represent children\u2019s voices across the School.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Listening to pupils and staff<\/strong> through questionnaires so that we know what is working well and where we need to improve.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Writing our Action Plan for Silver<\/strong>, identifying priorities in each strand of the award.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Submitting our Bronze application<\/strong> and working with our UNICEF Professional Adviser to agree our next steps.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/details>\n\n  <!-- 4. Their job is to:<\/p>\n      <ul>\n        <li>Help children learn about their rights in a fun and friendly way.<\/li>\n        <li>Share ideas from their classes and bring pupil voice to meetings.<\/li>\n        <li>Support whole school events that celebrate rights, respect and kindness.<\/li>\n        <li>Check that our Action Plan for Silver is making a difference in classrooms and around the School.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <p>The group works closely with staff and governors so that children are <strong>actively involved in leading change<\/strong> across the School.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/details>\n\n  <!-- 5. Working towards Silver -->\n  <details class=\"rrs-acc\">\n    <summary>\n      <div class=\"rrs-acc-title\">\n        <span class=\"icon\">5<\/span>\n        <span>Working towards the Silver Award<\/span>\n      <\/div>\n      <span class=\"rrs-acc-toggle\">+<\/span>\n    <\/summary>\n    <div class=\"rrs-acc-content\">\n      <p>Now that we have achieved Bronze, we are focusing on putting rights into action every day so that we can apply for <strong>Silver: Rights Aware<\/strong>.<\/p>\n      <p>Some of our next steps are to:<\/p>\n      <ul>\n        <li>Develop <strong>class charters<\/strong> with pupils, linking our classroom rules to specific children\u2019s rights.<\/li>\n        <li>Make rights more visible around the School through displays, assemblies and pupil projects.<\/li>\n        <li>Continue to involve families and governors so that everyone understands the Rights Respecting work we are doing.<\/li>\n        <li>Review our Action Plan regularly with staff and the Rights Steering Group to check our progress.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <p>Our long term aim is to become a <strong>Gold Rights Respecting School<\/strong>, where rights and respect shape every part of school life.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/details>\n\n  <!-- 6.
